Haddie loves doing things on her own, especially when it comes to eating. Once she learned to use a fork by herself, she now grabs the spoon or fork from me so she can do it. This is something that is hard for me at times, because she makes a huge mess when she feeds her self. But she is so proud of her self when she successfully puts a piece of food in her mouth using a fork.
The other day I was having ice cream. She asked very politely if she could have some. However, she didn't want me to feed it to her. She wanted to do it herself. I was feeling adventurous and so after most of the ice cream was gone I gave her the container and spoon.
Needless to say, she had a blast getting every last bit of that ice cream!
